While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its threshold was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

The bar area , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and refuse that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The lavatory was in even a truly awful state— clogged , with a cracked flush mechanism and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was human excrement .
